'Ajax'-in-a-Box

THE PLAY

Virtual Storage Space

Box.net is everything but a box.  Launched in mid 2006, Box.net began providing a safe and easy way for people to store and share files of all sorts.  It frees up the users' access limitations allowing them to utilize information stored from any computer anywhere in the world as long as they have Internet connectivity.

This site (or service) stays true to the functionality of the Web 2.0 generation websites; Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) enables a familiar desktop application-like interaction for the users - making it easy to use and understand.  This is very important to web users today.  Intuitive, easy to use interfaces are necessary if site owners/service providers want to attract and retain audiences - in then end, when people decided what to use, in most situations, they will pick what is familiar to them and what makes them the most comfortable.  Box.net utilizes Ajax nicely to provide a positive, functional user experience.
